Truthfulness

What’s happening in our country named Bangladesh? What’s the real fact? May be it’s true or false! If any, to tell a lie is a great sin and we all should speak the truth. We should solve the present situation soon by speaking the truth. However, We all are known about ‘Truthfulness’. Truthfulness is goodness. It is speaking the truth, sticking to the truth, acting according to the truth, preaching the truth and, above all, surrendering oneself to the truth. Truth is the foundation for a fair and just society. Truthfulness allows us to leave in a line with our values, to be honest and to live a life which reflects that. It is important to live and act in line with our values. Society, especially Western society, places a high value on truth.
We learn-there are two aspects of truthfulness:
(i) Being true to yourself, and
(ii) Being true to others.
Simply we can say that being truthful is being constructive, useful, friendly, attractive, and humble. Truthful people will understand themselves, and know their own strengths and weaknesses. They will not cheat themselves about their successes or failures; normally, our values and perceptions of truth, to a great extent, are governed by religion. Truthfulness, therefore, is to persistently pursue these objective norms of behavior.
So, we should always speak the truth avoiding telling a lie.
