‘The Objective of Education Is Learning, Not Teaching’

How about learning rather than teaching? Can’t a teacher recall that in the one-room schoolhouse, students taught students? I think, it would be better if the teacher served as a guide and a resource but not as one who force-fed content into students’ minds. Long-established education focuses on teaching, not learning. But it is fact that teaching enables the teacher to discover what one thinks about the subject being taught. You know- a newborn learns such fundamental things as how to walk, talk, eat, and dress, and so on without being taught these belongings. On the contrary, we see- adults learn most of what they use at work or at leisure while at work or leisure. Most of what is remembered is remembered only for a short time, but then is quickly forgotten. and much or what is remembered is irrelevant. It’s seen and common fact, in most schools, memorization is mistaken for learning.
