Family Violence!

How about thinking our family? Yes, today I’d like to tell something about family and it’s violence. Family violence is present in almost every society of the world. The term can be classified on various basis. Violence against spouse, children or elderly is few of some commonly encountered cases. There are various kinds of tactics that are adopted by the attacker against the victim. Physical abuse, emotional abuse, psychological abuse etc. are the most common kinds of abuses that are faced by the victims. This family violence is not only a problem of the developing or under developed countries. It is very much prevalent in developed countries also. Family violence is a reflection of our pseudo-civilized society. There is no place of violence in the civilized world. But the number of cases that are reported everywhere raise a high alarm. Again most of the cases go unregistered on unnoticed in everyday life. Nowadays this is a very dangerous trend creeping in our society. It is clear that women and children are often the soft targets. In Indian subcontinent the situation is really gruesome. A significant number of death are taking place on daily basis, as a result of family violence only. Illiteracy, economical dependency on men folk and the otherwise male dominated society in some of the attributing factors to the problem. Another thing is dowry. Yes, this dowry is one of the  leading causes that result in family violence. It is obviously real fact and proved that Family violence affects children much. It has been well documented that children exposed to family violence suffer many forms of treason. Because threatening words and gestures become part of a pervasive atmosphere of fear to the children. Many people still believe the misconception that family violence is a perennial problem that is better dealt behind the closed doors of their homes. But it is not right at all. People of all walks have to come forward to solve this problem and the government has to take all-out steps to control the family violence. Otherwise our next generation will fall in the dark future.
